The Department for Education is introducing compulsory Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) for secondary pupils from September 2020. Also, from September 2020 it will be compulsory for all schools to teach Health Education. At Immanuel, we have always believed that promoting the health and well-being of our pupils is an important part of their overall education. We do this through our Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) programme. Students look at many topics including all kinds of relationships, physical / emotional health and living in the wider world. The aim of PSHE is to help our pupils make safe and informed decisions during their school years and beyond.
Parents are the most important educators of young people in personal issues and many welcome the support that school can offer. We are inviting all parents/carers of students in years 7-11 to a drop in session on Friday December 6th at 3.15-3.45 where you can learn more about what we do in PSHE.
