During 2016 to 2017 the PTFA spent over £5000 and some of the items purchased for school included: an iPad for the sports/PE department, a trombone and saxophone for the music department, £500 for a sofa for the library, £300 to help purchase an oven for the technology department, £500 donation towards GCSE English Literature resources, over £1500 for equipment for the science department including a radioactive source, £50 donation for the drama department and a contribution of £160 toward the chapel wall.
More recently other than raising over £1000 at the 2017 Christmas Fair, we are delighted to announce that we recently raised £413.00 selling refreshments at the Creative and Performing Acts Faculty production of Sister Act in March 2018.
We are working on ideas of how we can recruit new members and boost funds. We have approached local primary schools and have been meeting with their PTFA Chairs and other members to discuss how we can enlist additional members and swap ideas for fundraising.
We are always keen to see new members at our meetings which are usually held once a month on a Wednesday in school. We welcome all parents and carers to come along to one of our meetings.
