Our charity leader and coordinator Mr Crowther is in the process of planning a variety of charity events which will be taking place in school over the coming months.

Our first big event last year took place on Friday 06 February 2015 with activities running throughout the day in school to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

14 KS3 students took part in a 5 hour sponsored skip-a-thon to raise pulses and in turn, raise awareness for the BHF. Other activities included a cookie sale and a guess the name of the giant teddy bear competition. Students and staff chose to wear an item of red clothing with their school uniform while Post 16 students had a dress down day. In total, students and staff raised over £750 – Well done to everyone who got involved!

Look out for posters and further information that will be displayed round school for each charity Event. Activities on the day will include – Sponsored trampoline sessions, movie afternoon, the Great Immanuel Bake Off & much more…

Any ideas for charity events or if would like to get involved in our charity effort and perhaps join our charity committee, please contact Mr Crowther at carl.crowther@immanuelcollege.net
