Between Thursday 15th and Sunday 18th March, 34 Year 11 students visited Berlin to support their GCSE study of Germany in the 20th century. Students visited a variety of historic sites, including Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, the Reichstag Building, The Berlin Wall and the Brandenburg Gate. The trip tracked Germany’s rise as a world power, its swing towards dictatorship under Hitler and its emergence from WW2 as one of the leading countries of Europe.
