Tuesday 4th December saw Immanuel’s second Carol service in partnership with the Salvation Army. Despite it being early in December it was well attended by about 160 staff, students and parents of the school. The event involved some rousing carol singing, prayers and bible readings by students and a particular highlight was the resurrection of our traditional ‘Immanuel’ song performed by Lucy Ingham, Bianca Bagrin, Jessie Malcolm and Megan Malcolm. The event was supported by a Salvation Army brass quintet – after all, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a Salvation Army band. We enjoyed a festive quiz, plenty of mince pies and above all shared in community with one another. £182.31 was raised for the local work of the Salvation Army. Thanks to all those who attended and made it a special event – especially the students!
