We are as always proud of all our students and would like to congratulate them all. Special mention to Miyah Khela who has fulfilled her dream of securing a place to study medicine at Birmingham University. She achieved A grades in biology, chemistry and maths. Lia Barrett, who is going to study Film at the University of Warwick, achieved a fabulous A* A* A A set of grades in film studies, sociology, media and EPQ.

The proportion of A*-A grades at A level increased to an amazing 21% this year, from 16% in 2016. 55% of the A level grades are A* – B.

87% of the BTEC students achieved a Distinction * grade. 93% of our BTEC students achieved Distinction * / Distinction grades, a great achievement.

Measures such as AAB grades in facilitating subjects have increased to 10.6% this year and the point scores increased for the students’ best three A levels to 36.17 points, from 35.9 in 2016.

These results are very pleasing as we are an open and inclusive post 16, accepting students from across the ability range. We offer courses and support to ensure that our students make the best possible progress across their option choices.
