British Science Week 2018 – BDAT Science Competition 2018
To start National Science Week 2018 in style, Immanuel College hosted a science competition involving secondary schools from across the BDAT Academy Trust. Teams were sent to compete from Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College , Immanuel College, Bradford Forster Academy and Belle Vue Girls’. The morning session saw KS3 students attempt an egg cooking challenge using the least energy possible. The KS4 teams battled it out to make a chemically powered boat out of bits of rubbish.
In the afternoon session students were treated to a whizz-bang science show which was headed up by our very own Mr Smithson. The day was loved by all, especially the winners of the morning competition who had the joy of winning the coveted Golden Bunsen Award.
The winners of the day were as follows:
KS3 Winners – Immanuel college
KS4 Winners – Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College
Well done to all the students that took part!
