Immanuel's Form Football
Fairtrade Immanuel

At the beginning of the year Mr Doherty, the head of year 8 introduced form football for year 8. Mr Doherty was interviewed this morning. He said this “The main reason I introduced form football was to give year 8 boys and girls something positive and fun to do at dinner time because everyone enjoys a good game of football. At first form football wasn’t very organised but now I have created a table and only 3 matches will be played a day. I am currently working on a rota everyone is organised and know when they are playing. It should be finished soon.

Immanuel College , Idle Bradford, is discussing whether it should be a fair-trade school in the future, to help those people less fortunate. The head of Geography at Immanuel College is considering making the school into a fair-trade school, as it would help third world countries. It would also be a healthier food source for the teachers and pupils. Mrs Askham thought this about Immanuel College becoming a Fairtrade school.

“I think this is a very good idea and would help a lot of people but we would have to think carefully about what we could change to make the school Fairtrade”

Going fair-trade is a good idea but would it work? Listen to our recordings to find out what pupils and teachers opinions were on this subject.
