IT & Networking Services

The IT Services department aims to provide computer services to all staff and students to support teaching and learning at school. Problems arising during the day to day running of school will be dealt with in a timely, professional, reliable and consistent way.

STAFF


The IT Services department has a Network Manager who plans for and oversees future technical developments. There are two full time technicians who deal with day to day problems, and changes to hardware and software as requested.

There are around 500 computers at school, as well as a large local area network, servers and printing services. Email and broadband internet are also provided and interactive whiteboards for teaching and learning in the classroom. There is a school wide distribution of computers with over half of them in our 9 ICT suites. There are dedicated ICT suties in English, Maths and Science as well as ICT. Computers are also available for students in some classrooms in small groups.

Newsletter

Each half term an IT Newsletter is published and circulated for staff to let everyone know what developments are underway in IT at school.
