RE & Chaplaincy
Historically, the Church has led the drive for educating all children from the age of 5 until young adulthood. That is one reason why it is still a central, legal, part of our education system today.
R.E. at Immanuel is a high achieving department and as a result all students take a GCSE in the subject. RE develops well-rounded and open minded young people that can tackle ‘big’ questions such as “Does life have a purpose?” and “how should we live?”
As a result, all students at Immanuel study GCSE R.E.
It prepares students for the wider world by:
- giving them skills and knowledge for living and working with others.
- Providing qualifications that employers and Colleges value highly.
- Developing social, moral, cultural and spiritual awareness of themselves and others.
