SOCIAL & VOCATIONAL STUDIES

At Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students study History and Geography, with a small number of volunteer students taking GCSE Law in some years as an extra subject.

In Post 16 the faculty has AS/A2 courses in Law, Sociology, Geography and General Studies.

On the vocational side BTEC First Certificate/Diploma courses are offered in Health and Social Care; Child Care; Learning and Development, Travel and Tourism and Horticulture at Key Stage 4 and in Child Care, Learning and Development, Travel and Tourism, Public Services and Horticulture - Post 16

 

OVERVIEW

The faculty of Social and Vocational Studies at Immanuel brings together traditional areas in humanities with some of the more exciting new developments in vocational education.

The faculty has been involved in quizzes and competitions on behalf of the school, and is the focus for the school's charitable work and school link with Minte Kundeh school in the Gambia.
