At Immanuel

Our Christian ethos is at the heart of our life together.
Immanuel means

‘God with us’

We believe that God is with us here at Immanuel

Collective Worship

Being a Voluntary Aided Church of England School, we do take seriously the legal requirements to have a daily act of Collective Worship. Collective Worship does not presume that any student has a Christian faith or even any faith at all. Instead, it allows students to be reflective in their own way using a broadly Christian act of worship. This is done in different ways, partly through Year Assemblies, but also through classroom based activities at the beginning of the day.

If you would like to see a sample of the material that is available for Form Tutors to use, please click on the link HERE. We believe that Immanuel College takes faith seriously and encourages respect of faith whether Christian or not.

Chaplaincy

Being a Church School also means we have a Chaplaincy as an integral part of the College. This Chaplaincy presently consists of two chaplains plus local volunteers. The Chaplaincy helps with student support and running lunchtime clubs. The Chaplains are always available for all members of the College Community – whether students, staff or parents/family. It is also in partnership with the RE department.
