Post 16 students receive the best exam results ever!

Immanuel college post 16 results just keep getting better and better! It is really fantastic when our students and teachers, who have worked so hard together, are rewarded by huge success.  Our year 13 students were all successful in achieving the places they chose at University.  We have students going off to study at universities across the country,      including London, Nottingham, Liverpool and Cumbria. The range of subjects chosen is once again enormous – English literature, equestrian studies, art, psychology and amongst other subjects.

Deserving special mention are Emily James who achieved four A grades at A2 and Thornten Haywood and Jessica Myers who both achieved all A and B grades. Emily has secured a prestigious post with Grant Thornton to begin a career in accountancy,        beginning with a placement in their London office. We also had some excellent level 3 BTEC results with Abigail Butterfield and Jade Clarke achieving distinction stars and            distinctions in all their subjects.

We were also very proud of the achievements of our year 12 students who really        excelled. Phillipa Malko, Duncan Roberts and Bethany Murgatroyd all achieved four grad As in their AS subjects. Again the students studying for BTECs did exceptionally well. Jennie Lucas, Jaynesh Maisuria, Sophie Eklid  and Abigail Nelson achieved distinction stars in all three of their subjects. For  AQA examination subjects, our students outperformed all other schools nationally at AS for grades A- C and for 100% pass rate at A2.

Perhaps you heard the recent feature about Immanuel post 16 student success on BBC Radio Leeds? The journalist was particularly interested in Thornten’s plans to bring his underwear home from university for his mum to wash!  We are really excited about all our students’ achievements and are looking for even more success again this year. It pays to stay local and go further!
